Both the early and late model K1200lt with performance exhaust systems require a different tuning file over the bike with a stock exhaust system. This software is now available. See the specific control unit numbers that are affected here.

RhineWest Performance Inc. is proud to announce the release the long-anticipated performance software for the 1998-2002 BMW K1200lt motorcycles. With a tested horsepower improvement of 7hp at 6000 RPM and a torque improvement of 10 Ft/Lbs at 4800 RPM, the performance software improves the drivability and overall performance of the motorcycle by manipulating the core of the engine management system, the BMW motronic unit.
